I have a small plant no more than 6000 gpd and we are a nursing home .Since my question I have found the pharmacy dumping medications down the drain. I had both aeration tanks drained and new solids delivered but am still seeing a small amount of soap bubbles in the tank
Could you expand your question? where are the bubbles showing up ? how big is your system? In an oilfield camp I was in, they switched to a super concentrated laundry soap and things went nuts. If you have a brewery in you town they may have spilled some surfactants (sp?) ... let's figure this thing out.
Different reason might be the origine of the bubbles. What is the physical aspect of the bubbles? white or light-dark brownish colour? If white, most probably due to sudden input of detergent in the wastewater. If brownish colour, filamentous bacterie can be the cause of the bubbling. In this second case, an thorough assessment should be taken because bubbling could be a sign of malfunction of the system.
