When developing your costs such as service installation do you use an actual cost or a fee.

From my point of view, you should readjust your fee with the real cost from time to time.
We use internal work orders and enter labour hours per job along with supplier invoice copies for materials/outside service contracts. The labour hours have a specific rate per hour and the supplier invoices marked up a small percentage. Since every job can be different this ensures the customers are charged fairly and we are recovering our costs.
