Depending on the characteristics of your water (pH, alkalinity, turbidity, color, etc.) different treatment methods could be considered. One of these, flocculation coagulation is often used for the removal of organic matter followed by decantation or sand filtration. It is impossible to decide on a specific treatment without analysis and testing.
