What are the best wastewater treatment chemicals to use?

There are many different layers to your question. Ultimately the health of a local treatment system depends on getting two things right: your chemistry and your support network. What you use for the actual water treatment really depends on what the local issues happen to be. If your effluent is a bit hazy, for example, your chemistry approach is going to be a little different than if you have a heavy metals concentration that’s high and see a lot of foaming. So if you’re just asking for general information purposes, you can find defoamers, flocculants, coagulants, and other chemicals that all have specific jobs that they can perform for local systems. If you’re asking as an operator, I’d recommend speaking with a local supply or distribution expert so you can receive a tailored chemistry outcome. Peace.
I couldn't agree more here. All issues are not identical and so it's important to have a complete water chemistry done to design a water treatment regiment. Once you have this it will be an easy fix. Best of luck
