Our treatment plant is equipped with a 4800 m3 buried sludge storage tank with 7% dryness. It has 3 EISELE GTWS 1040 mixers. At the moment stirring is insufficient because of the limited range of the equipment. In addition we can only turn the mixers on for 8 hours a day, otherwise they go into default mode. We have encountered sludge pumping problems during spreading due to poor stirring. The storage tank is 61 meters long, 28 meters wide and 3 meters high when full. It’s shaped like a truncated pyramid. The 3 mixers are placed in the center of pyramid base, equidistant from one another along the length of the tank.
I’d be curious to know what kind of mixers you use and how they are set up?
Hello, I had a similar situation with industrial effluent quite similar to liquid sludge. The supplier suggested a circulating/stirring system with surface pumps. Pumping is a closed circuit directly in the flexible cover. It is made by http://www.labaronne-citaf.fr/#5.
