Source of spores of anaerobic sulfate-reducing bacteria

Hello, Sulfate-reducing bacteria are usually related to a defect in the filtration process of the water production facilities. They tend to spread throughout the system, and chlorine has little effect on them. However, this isn't an indicator of fecal contamination. If the problem continues without any obvious origin in the treatment units, you will need to have detailed lab tests performed to identify the particular kind of spore, which should point you towards a likely source.
