I observed on a industrial wastewater treatment
(chemical&pharmaceutical) plant a strong inhibition of gas-liquid
oxygen mass transfer. This situation might occur over weeks. Even LOX
(liquid oxygen) ist of no help. I assume that it might be from some sort
of anti-foam agent which might be used in production (soya oil, silicon
or polypropylene glycol...). Looking for other compounds which might be
the reason for the limited oxygen transfer? Any help? Ideas?
