Problems on 2009 ABB AquaMaster flowmeters giving empty pipe readings

Hi, can you be more specific? Thanks.
These AquaMaster flowmeters go into empty pipe default. We have reporting information at 0m3/h on our Lerne (PLC). In the field, we disconnect/reconnect the battery; it starts to work again. But then after a while, the problem returns.
Several malfunctions have been observed with the ABB AquaMaster flowmeters (premature battery depletion, unstable data, empty pipe ... . ABB customer support has identified a significant amount of rust on the connections between the housing and the cable. Their recommendation was to replace the Aquamaster 2 housing with an Aquamaster 3 housing. The results have been undermined by the fact that some malfunctions appeared subsequently (1-2 years later) with 3rd generation housing. In short, if the batteries are less than 4 years old, I would recommend testing the replacement housing and eventually replacing the flowmeter itself with Siemens or Krohne. Obviously, if the batteries are older than 4 years, I suggest you simply replace them.
