We are having problems with our dosing pumps used for chlorination—they are consistently losing prime. This problem is due to degassing of the bleach. What solutions are there to prevent loss of prime in the pumps?
Many suppliers of metering pumps are selling some small component to solve this problem. See example bhereafter:

It is preferable to use peristaltic pumps rather than dosing pumps.
ProMinent has a good selection.
Careful: peristaltic pumps are limited in pressure. Do not take the smallest one, as the pipe sometimes experiences fouling from crystals.
That's right: it must be below 4 bars at the injection point.
