Does anyone have a solution for motorizing a winch, because the process of raising agitators is time consuming and difficult. I inquired with XYLEM but never got a response.
Thanks in advance.
Hello thanks for your input, but that is not the type of product I am looking for. I have at least 30 agitators/mixers on site, and I just want to be able to remove the handle and use a motorized actuator.
You might consider a passing wire-rope winch. Be aware though that this solution works with cables of a specific diameter and therefore requires you to switch them out as needed.
Here is an example: http://www.fixator.com/lifting/equipment-lifting/electrical-construction-hoists-for-lifting-equipment/26-treuil-de-chantier-motrixhtml
The advantage is that the winch lifts the agitator.
I would caution that a fully motorized winch means you won't be able to feel a blockage in time. At the end of the day, nothing beats manual lifting, especially given the problems we encounter with fibrous matter.
