How do you get rid of microconstituents at your wastewater treatment plant and how efficient is it ?

There is a wide range of different ECD and personal care products which enter most wastewater treatment plants in the US and Canada. A large number of them have half lives which are shorter than a typically MCRT of 8-12 days, thereby eliminating them from being discharged to receiving waters. Those that do receive partial or no reduction are often times significant order of magnitudes lower in concentration than the typical dose which is prescribed.
