How can we ensure a duty of care for wastewater treatment in developing countries occurs?
I have an interesting problem I'd like to gain more insight on. Specifically, how do global industrial companies operating in developing and 3rd world countries ensure their wastewater is discharged to waterways as clean effluent? Meeting their own consent conditions on permits is one thing but often the receiving municipal treatment plant may not have as stringent consent conditions as the global industries that send wastewater to them. Can anyone operating in developing countries assist with this query? Many thanks
