How can we dispose of 1,000 gals of alum water safely?
//= $frontData["question_content"] ?>
About two years ago our company provided service to a local water treatment facility and for the project to continue we pumped this alum water out of an existing tank into two 500 gl portable storage containers. At first we tried to dispose of it without any luck. I am a newly hired Safety Coordinator and naturally I want to get it off the property but have not found anyone to take it or provide any recommendations. Can you help? I heard from old timers that we could manipulate the Ph levels with vinegar and pour it directly into the drain but I will not allow that to happen without written approval. There is no visible sludge in the tanks just light blue liquid.
