Can greywater be dumped into a pond or stream, or a pond that leads to a stream or river in Florida?
Here is what the Florida Department of Environmental Protection says:
'In accordance with Section 403.021(2) of the Florida statute, No wastes can be discharged into any waters of the state without first being given the degree of treatment necessary to protect the beneficial uses of such water.
In Florida, external treatment and disposal of graywater is regulated by the Department of Health under Chapter 64E-6 of the Florida Administration Code (F.A.C.). '
You can always contact the Florida Department of Health office in your County if you need more info.
